Isopimaric acid may increase the open probability by shifting the Ca2+ and voltage dependence to more hyperpolarized voltages1. The sensitivity is decreased in the Xenopus system compared to mammalian cells. BK channels activated by Isopimaric acid retain their charybdotoxin sensitivity.
